Holiday cards are generally taken around Christmas time by a professional photographer. Most of the time, holiday photo cards are usually pretty boring, maybe having a simple green and red template with the photos pasted into the middle. The card might have a Merry Christmas plastered across the top of the photo or possibly on the right or left side. Generally, the kids and parents are all dressed nicely, hair combed and shirts buttoned to the top. Their shoes are shined and their smiles are basically stuck onto their faces. However, if you’d like your holiday cards to be a little different this year, you might decide to have a special themed for your holiday photo cards. You might decide to have a candy cane theme, ugly sweater theme, Christmas tree theme, funny face theme, or a number of other fun and exciting themes. Another fun theme for your Christmas card is a What Happened This Year theme. A What Happened This Year theme is a holiday photo card theme where you paste your picture in the middle of a somewhat larger card, and then around the photo you paste different, memorable pictures from the year. For example, you might want to paste graduation invitations from your childrens’ graduations around the picture of your family. If you’ve recently had a first birthday for your baby, you might decide to paste your 1st birthday invitations onto the card. You might also want to paste pictures from any family trips or outings around the main photo. You could also paste any school photos that you thought were actually good around the main holiday picture.
